Those of you with an Xbox 360 may have already had the pleasure to play GTA:IV the lost and the damned and GTA:IV ballad of gay tony, but those with PS3's and only PC's have been shit out of luck so far. Thanks to the exclusive deal with Microsoft, they were only released for the Xbox.
Better late than never?
Whether it is 'fair' to release a game for a specific platform only is a different story I guess.. In the end of the day it is business and businesses will generally try to maximize the amount of money they make. However, for the players it kind of sucks to hear they will not be able to play something unless they buy a specific console.
For these unlucky ones there is light at the horizon however, as Rockstar has announced that GTA:IV episodes from liberty city, which is basically both GTA:IV add on episodes on one disc, will be coming to the PS3 and PC on the 30th of March 2010. Of course it is common for Rockstar that they move this date around a bit, so probably set your hopes for it being in stores halfway down April or something.
It's becoming a bit of a set standard; with the GTA games it's always the question whether or not something will be ported to other platforms for about a year. Some titles make it, some don't.
Is it worth it?
Having played (and finished) both episodes, it's my opinion that indeed they are worth buying and playing. Personally I found the last episode, the ballad of gay Tony, to be the best one (surprisingly..) Jusuf Amir rules..
The lost and the damned is less good in my opinion, but still better than the storyline of the original GTA:IV. Of course the original was also fun to play, so if you don't have that yet, play that first.
Multiplayer
The episodes also come with additional multiplayer gamemodes. Not really played those much myself yet, as I prefer multiplayer games on the PC, but they are supposed to be good fun. Let's hope they include a dedicated server this time. I really doubt it though.

I guess this is good but I wasent that into GTA 4 when it first came out so I am unlikely to buy the DLC.

Well like I said; the DLC are actually more fun than the original.. Besides it's fun to play it on the PC with multiplayer (if your PC can handle it.)
